Gum: The Best There Has Ever Been
There are many flavors of gum in the world, but there are two that stand head and shoulders above the rest. Here is why Winterfresh and Bubblicious are the two best on the market.
Winterfresh is a refreshing blast of minty goodness that hits your palate like an air horn hits your ears. It can wake you up in the morning and can help to pass the time at work as well. This is a versatile gum that tastes great wherever and whenever you want to chew it. The problem with most gum is that the flavor packs up and goes away after about 15 minutes or so, but not Winterfresh. The geniuses at Wrigley’s have found a way to keep the mint flavor flowing for up to an hour or more. I am not kidding, because I once chewed Winterfresh for over two hours straight one time. It kept its flavor and, more importantly, didn’t disintegrate like some gums do after a couple of chews. Winterfresh is has its own unique flavor as well. Even though it shares an assembly line with other flavors of gum, you will not mistake this for something like Spearmint or Doublemint. It really is one of the greatest gum flavors of our generation.
The other classic gum flavor is Bubblicious. Now, it is true that Bubblicious comes in 23 different flavors, but for the purposes of this article, I will be extolling the virtues of the original flavor. Original Bubblicious was introduced in 1977 in response to Bubble Yum sales and is currently made by Cadbury Adams. This flavor got me through my childhood. I would chew Bubblicious for hours on end and my friends and I would always see how many pieces we could fit in our mouths. The little squares of gum are the perfect size for chewing and, as every kid will tell you, bubble gum tastes great, even in ice cream. Bubblicious is also one of the perfect gums for blowing gigantic bubbles. I have had bubbles burst on me that covered my entire face at times. Not only is it a lot of fun to see how big of a bubble you can make, it is also fun to annoy people by constantly blowing and popping that bubble as loud as possible.
If you are going to be going on a plane ride, or just want something to do at work (besides work), gum is a great way to pass the time. I heartily recommend trying out these two flavors if you are in need of a gum fix. It should also be noted that gum takes a long time to actually go bad and you can save some money by buying gum in bulk.
