K-Cups for the Keurig Coffee Maker
Given the current popularity of Starbucks and other specialty coffee franchises, it may surprise you to learn that U.S. Per capita coffee consumption is only half of what it was in the mid-1940s. Per capita availability of coffee in the US peaked in 1946 at 46.4 gallons per person, compared with 24.2 gallons in 2005.

From this question, the revolutionary concept of Keurig K-Cup portion pack brewing was born. This system allows you to experience fantastic gastronome coffee one cup at a time.
You place the K-Cup into the Keurig Coffee Brewer, the sealed foil lid is punctured on the top and bottom permitting hot pressurized water to be forced through the K-Cup. Just take the spent K-Cup out of the brewer and chuck it in the trash.
Also, there are no more wasted pots of coffee and no more coffee pots to laboriously clear out time after time. Not only that, you aren't stuck with one flavor of coffee for all. Individual K-Cups allow you to select your favourite flavour whenever the mood takes you. You may also adjust the temperature of the water to fit your palate. Not everyone wants scalding hot coffee, in fact the coffee taste is typically significantly improved by a little lower temperatures.
